Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using COD Shield ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including merchants, their staff, and any integrated third-party systems.

2. Service Description

COD Shield provides AI-powered fraud detection for Cash-on-Delivery (COD) eCommerce orders. The Service includes:

• Real-time fraud risk scoring for incoming orders.
• Blacklist and watchlist management for phones, emails, and addresses.
• Analytics dashboard with fraud intelligence and RTO reporting.
• Integrations with Shopify, WooCommerce, and custom APIs via webhooks.
• A self-learning ML model that improves using your delivery outcomes.

3. Early Access Program

• The first 50 stores receive full access to COD Shield at no charge during Early Access.
• Early Access users agree to provide feedback to help improve the platform.
• We may introduce paid plans after Early Access with a minimum of 30 days' advance notice.
• COD Shield reserves the right to limit Early Access spots without notice.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use COD Shield to:

• Discriminate against customers based on any protected characteristic (religion, ethnicity, gender, etc.).
• Block orders for reasons unrelated to fraud prevention.
• Share your API keys with unauthorized third parties.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the Service.
• Submit fraudulent or inaccurate data to the platform.
• Use the Service for any purpose that violates Pakistani law.

5. Accuracy Disclaimer

COD Shield uses probabilistic machine learning models to assess fraud risk. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy in fraud detection. False positives (legitimate orders blocked) and false negatives (fraudulent orders missed) may occur. All high-risk blocking decisions should be reviewed by your team. COD Shield is not liable for business losses resulting from incorrect fraud scores.

6. API Keys & Security

• You are responsible for keeping your API keys and login credentials secure.
• Compromised API keys must be regenerated immediately from your dashboard.
• COD Shield is not liable for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to protect credentials.

7. Limitation of Liability

During the Early Access period, the Service is provided "as is" with no uptime guarantees or service level agreements. To the maximum extent permitted by law, COD Shield's total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the three months preceding the claim (if any).

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

9. Changes to Terms

We will notify you at least 14 days before making material changes to these Terms. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Pakistani courts.
